Saturday, August 7, 2010 from 2-8pm at 633 E St SE (rear alley)
Albus Cavus artists and students have been working out of The Freezer, a space provided by Alex Gold of The Fridge. In the recent heat, the Summer Youth employees have produced artwork for Ballou High School, several voting hand sculptures, a snazzy line of Tshirts and designs for more murals. All that in only 6 weeks with no air conditioning. I get faint just thinking about it.
Please tour the studio to learn about current public art projects and donate to keep the workspace open… Discuss Future Murals on along Pennsylvania Avenue, SE. Art Exhibit + Auction and Raffle; Music and Performances; Students’ Presentations; Refreshments… I hear we are grilling, so come get your eat on.
On August 7, 2010 from 2pm to 8pm at 633 E Street SE in rear alley, in walking distance from Eastern Market Metro.
If you cannot attend, but would like to donate, please use our donation page.
